Nicole Myers

Title: Legal Assistant

Responsibilities: I work with the adoption and the ART (assisted reproduction technology) side of the business. I do a little bit of everything– client care, managing cases and ensuring all is ready for the final outcome.

How did you get into adoption law?

I graduated college and somehow jumped into the adoption field. I have been in the field for the last seven years and very much enjoy it. For the last six years, I have worked with the State of Arizona as an adoption case manager. I transitioned to adoption law as I had the opportunity to expand my adoption knowledge through the legal side.

What is your favorite part about your job?

The favorite thing about my job is that there is more than one possibility to start a family, no matter the circumstances. Each way of growing your family is unique and special, and I enjoy being a part of the journey for these families, even if it is just a small one.

What is one thing you’d most want people to know about MyersStrickland?

MyersStrickland is unique. Unique in a sense that you are treated as a person. MyersStrickland takes the time to understand the client’s circumstances and the best way of assisting. By treating each person with dignity and understanding, at the end of the day it is the client’s decision on what is best for them.

Anything else people should know about you?

I am a newly adoptive mother who adopted two teen boys (siblings) through the foster care system. My husband and I are currently navigating the waters of parenthood. I take joy in the small things in life, for if you cannot take joy or celebrate the little things then how can you appreciate the big things?
